Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is great American professional basketball player of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has started specifically in the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Medal, an Olympic gold medal, and led a NBA on assists 3 times and steals six times. He's got recently been elected to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive teams.
Paul had been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He joined Wake Forest University for two years of university basketball when he helped the Demon Deacons obtain their first truly number one ranking. He had been selected fourth overall on the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded with the Clippers in 2011.
At December 8, 2011, the Hornets accepted a three-team deal sending Paul for the L . A . Lakers. The NBA, that owned the team during the time, nullified the offer, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans would be better off keeping Paul.The teams taking part on the trade attempted to lobby the league to reverse its ruling and reconstruct the offer to no avail.On December 12, the Hornets decided to a trade sending Paul for the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down after the NBA added further needs to the original terms. Two days later, the teams now formed the deal, sending Paul and 2 future second stage draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick on the 2012 draft. Upon the deal's completion, Paul declared which he might opt into the final year for his contract and stay in L . A . for at least 2 more years.
